  • Freeze dried vegetables such as corn can make a great snack or may be used when making soup or casseroles. Freeze drying doesn’t take away the nutritional value as many other options do. No need to defrost frozen vegetables or eat them from a can.  Just reconstitute the corn by just adding a half cup or more of hot water or just empty the bag into your already heated soups. When using them in a casserole we recommend that you reconstitute with water before baking. My son loves freeze-dried corn on his salads so I have to keep him supplied with these. For best results, we recommend you keep the bag tightly sealed after opening and store the product out of direct sunlight.
  • Our mixed vegetable blend is a combination of cut green beans, corn, peas and carrots. It makes a great snack and it goes wonderful in your favorite soup or stew. Freeze dried they won’t take up room in your freezer because they don’t need to be kept frozen or even in the refrigerator. If you want to use them in soup you can either just add them to the pot of boiling water or reconstitute and add to your casserole. Or add some hot water to them and reconstitute them first. I recently made a pan of chicken veggie pot pie and put the veggies in about ½ cup of boiling water, waited 5 minutes, added chicken and chicken soup and it made a wonderful casserole. I topped it off with some biscuits on top and then put it straight into the oven. Total prep time was about 10 minutes and the taste was amazing. (I'm planning to take the idea of mixed vegetables a step further by including seasoning and making some “pre-packaged” soup mixes where everything you need to make soup is in one package and all you have to do is add water!) Mixed vegetables are great if you are traveling, camping or if the power goes out. Just build a fire, boil some water and make some soup. What could be more satisfying or comforting! For best results, we recommend you keep the bag tightly sealed after opening and store the product out of direct sunlight.
