Oh, my! This is one my favorites and one of our best sellers. Even if you don’t like pineapple, we think you’ll love the freeze dried version. You won’t be able to stop eating it. It doesn’t have any added sugar so you don’t have any extra calories but the freeze dried version still has the wonderful flavor the freeze-drying process brings out. You can grind them up and use them in your favorite smoothie. We include note below about how to store the product to get the maximum shelf-life, but we should probably include a warning instead because after opening a bag of these, maximum shelf-life will not be an issue!
For best results, we recommend you keep the bag tightly sealed after opening and store the product out of direct sunlight.

The pineapple is indigenous to South America, where it has been cultivated for many centuries. The introduction of the pineapple to Europe in the 17th century made it a significant cultural icon of luxury. Since the 1820s, pineapple has been commercially grown in greenhouses and many tropical plantations. The flesh and juice of the pineapple are used in cuisines around the world. In many tropical countries, pineapple is prepared and sold on roadsides as a snack. Chunks of pineapple are used in desserts such as fruit salad, as well as in some savory dishes, including pizza toppings, or as a grilled ring on a hamburger.
Raw pineapple pulp is 86% water, 13% carbohydrates, 0.5% protein, and contains negligible fat. It is a rich source of manganese (44% Daily Value) and vitamin C (58% Daily Value). Most importantly, almost all of those nutrients are preserved when we freeze dry pineapple.
